Accessing Preferences

1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
2. Select Settings
3. Navigate to Preferences tab

Display Settings

Theme

Choose your preferred appearance:

Date Format

Select how dates are displayed:

• MM/DD/YYYY: 12/25/2024
• DD/MM/YYYY: 25/12/2024
• YYYY-MM-DD: 2024-12-25

Number Format

Configure number display:

• Thousand separator: Comma or space
• Decimal separator: Period or comma
• Decimal places: 2, 3, or 4

Currency Display

Choose your base currency:

• USD: United States Dollar ($)
• EUR: Euro (EUR)
• GBP: British Pound (GBP)
• Other: Select from list

Trading Preferences

Default Position Size

Set your standard position size:

• Used as default in trade entry
• Can be overridden per trade
• Helps maintain consistency

Default Strategy

Select a default strategy:

• Pre-selected in trade entry form
• Your most common strategy
• Can be changed per trade

Commission Settings

Configure your broker commissions:

Per Share: $0.005
Minimum: $1.00
Maximum: None

This enables accurate P/L calculations including costs.

Risk Unit (R)

Define your standard risk:

• Fixed Dollar: e.g., $100 per trade
• Percentage: e.g., 1% of account
• Custom: Define per trade

Calendar Settings

Week Start

Choose when your week begins:

• Sunday: Traditional US
• Monday: International standard

Trading Days

Mark your regular trading days:

• Weekdays only
• Include weekends (crypto)
• Custom selection

Market Holidays

Configure holiday handling:

• Auto-detect: Uses market calendar
• Manual: Select specific dates
• Ignore: Show all days

Dashboard Preferences

Default View

Choose your landing page:

• Dashboard overview
• Trade list
• Calendar
• Analytics

Widget Layout

Customize dashboard cards:

• Drag to reorder
• Hide/show widgets
• Resize where available

Metric Display

Choose which metrics appear:

• Win Rate
• Profit Factor
• Total P/L
• Expectancy
• Trade Count

Performance Calculations

P/L Calculation Method

Choose how P/L is calculated:

Include Commissions

Toggle commission inclusion:

• In P/L: Net profit/loss
• Separate: Show gross and fees

Win Definition

Define what counts as a win:

• Positive P/L: Any profit
• Break Even+: Include scratch trades
• Custom: Define minimum threshold

Import/Export Preferences

Default Import Format

Set preferred format:

• CSV
• Excel
• Broker-specific

Export Settings

Configure export defaults:

• Date range
• Fields included
• File format

Keyboard Shortcuts

Enable/Disable

Toggle keyboard shortcuts:

• Enabled: Use shortcuts
• Disabled: Keyboard navigation only

Reset Preferences

Reset to Defaults

Restore all preferences to default values:

1. Go to Preferences
2. Scroll to bottom
3. Click Reset to Defaults
4. Confirm action

This does not affect your trading data.
